My girl turned three! In three years I have picked up a mom hack here and there from Mamas who have walked before me. I love when Mamas share a mom hack with me and I love sharing them with other mamas.
With this new age, she has found a new love for all things dolls. Her little BFF gave her a set of princess dolls complete with accessories. It did not take long before the dolls were undressed and shoes were laying all over the place. Ugghh this is going to get annoying. My first thought was just to take all the shoes and put them away until she got older. I was mentioning this to a veteran Mama on the phone who promptly replied, “Superglue.”
SUPER GLUE. Why on earth didn’t I think of that???? Genious. Brilliant. Being new to the world of small girls and dolls, it never would have occurred to me to super glue the shoes on. Not that I am the world’s greatest thinker, but if I didn’t think of this, maybe just maybe, someone else hasn’t either. Maybe you are ready to lock up all the shoes. My friends, I am here to tell you there is an answer. That answer is SUPER GLUE.
Grab your dolls and favorite super glue.
I didn’t have a preference prior to this project, but I really liked Loctite Ultra Gel Control Super Glue. It didn’t come out too fast and is super strong.
When I started putting the gel into the shoe I only placed it down by the toe. I have learned to never underestimate the power and will of a three-year-old, so I put a little drop on the heel as well.
That’s it! A pretty simple hack for saving the shoes. Now if someone could give me a hack for saving the necklace I would appreciate it! Even the super glue couldn’t save this necklace.
